Hello, my name is Arcangelo Pizzo and I have been in the restaurant and food industry my whole life. My family owns a restaurant, so I’ve practically grown up there. I ended up branching out and going to culinary school at the International Culinary Center in New York. After that, I worked at various restaurants in New York, most notably Felida, Lidia Bastianich’s Flagship restaurant. Since moving back to St. Louis, I have worked at Fleming’s, and am currently at Vicia.
Head Baker: Ian Barclay
Hi, I’m Ian Barclay, and my path to the culinary world is more unorthodox. I’ve been an amateur bread baker since 2017, learning the basics from my Dad. I graduated in 2020 with a Master’s in mathematics, but grad school and the Covid-19 pandemic had left me feeling burned out and uncertain about my future. I joined Breadsmith in August 2022 to learn more about kitchens, in the hopes of one day having my own bakery. Stella’s will, in part, be that dream realized.
